Sticks 'n' Skins The Sessions is a natural next step for Jules Follett, author/photographer of Sticks 'n' Skins, the world's premier photojournalistic essay on drummers and their unique world. While creating Sticks 'n' Skins, Jules kept hearing stories about artists who did not get their fair share of the financial rewards from some of the most successful recordings in which they were involved. Jules met with some of her top advisors, including Dom Famularo (The Drumming World's Global Ambassador), Liberty DeVitto (Drummer/Recording Artist), Joe Hibbs (Mapex Artist Relations/Product Development Manager), Carlos Guzman (Production Manager) and Paul Quin (Entertainment and Litigation Lawyer) to discuss how they could help musicians deal with these issues.

Along with the entire Sticks 'n' Skins team, the group has created a powerful and uplifting presentation where artists can sharpen their business skills in the pursuit of in their respective musical career. Each offering will include a notable musician, unique to the city where The Sessions will be held. Participants at the inaugural event of Sticks 'n' Skins The Sessions at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles were presented with in-depth and personal experiences and guidance from the panel along with musical guest Russ Miller. Their questions were answered in areas including contract negotiations, entertainment law, marketing, self promotion, image maintenance, recording technology, and fundamental techniques. The Sessions will conclude with a Jam Session finale with the respective Artists.
